What is the occult and what does it have to do with the music industry?
Q. I keep hearing things about "the occult" (I don't even know what that is) and what does it have to do with the music industry and Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift, etc.
Asked by Denise Gillam - Mon May 31 22:41:25 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Basically as you know the music industry is one of the main influences today and it leads people to do many things and believe many things. Of course this is used by the illuminati to infiltrate the beliefs they want into us... what happens with people is that they don't listen to music they just hear it... if you look at the lyrics of various songs youlle notice how disturbing they are- for example Jay-z, rihanna and Kanye West talk about worshiping the devil and welcoming him by wearing black clothes, they also talk about how you can choose two paths in the song 'Run this town'- take a look for yourself. The pussycat dolls and many more artists have written songs about becoming attached to material e.g. when i grow up i wanna have a car… [cont.]

Do you think Occult practices can transform your reality into a more desirable one?
Q. The Occult is suppose to be the science and art of causing change in conformance with the will, for a long time Christians killed occultists as witches, they were scared of their powers, do you think there something more to it than wish full thinking or do think there might be some truth in the occult? Have you ever tried using some occult methods?

A. Occultists think alot differently to the average. Back in the days of Witch Hunts, Occultists ways of thinking would be decades and decades ahead of the Hunters and other mass populations. Now, the intelligence gap isn't so great - but i believe a few Occultists still hold that little extra something that helps them in general practices.

what has the occult and spirituality taught us about our world?
Q. I realize that through spirituality we are trying to come closer to who we really are, but what has both spirituality and the occult taught us about the energies that we call from? I've read so many articles that I feel are well written, but pointless. They forget the goal of what they're writing about. I know who I am, but I want to know more about what I don't know.

A. Hmm. You seem to be very wise when it comes to self understanding. The occult and spirituality, however, are not supposed to teach you who you are. Religion teaches us the difference between good and evil. But the thing about that is that no one can agree on the definitions of good and evil. That's why there are so many different religions. Some will claim that religions are about so many different things, and it's true. They are. But when it really comes down to it, religion teaches us what it means to be good. Spirituality is the rest of what makes up religion. Green tea, meditation, prayer, belief in a deity, rituals. The Occult is a term used to describe everything in religion that is not spirituality. Are Aleister and Eliphas Levi good for studying the occult and magick? Or are they frauds?
Q. I am a witch and am trying to learn more about magick and the Occult. I dont need preaching just serious suggestions to aid my learning. I have chosen my own path. Dont try to choose one for me.

A. I have read some of E.L.'s work, and he is indeed a bit ...shall we say... eccentric. But still worth the read as he was an accomplished Kabbalist. Although I do possess some of Crowley's works, I have not read them as of yet. For serious study I recommend the works of Paracelsus and Rudolph Steiner. Also my main area of interest lies in the root of all science-magic, that being Hermetic Philosophy and Wisdom. That being said I strongly recommend a start with the Emerald Tablets of Thoth and the Kybalion. Follow that up with Franz Bardon's course "Initiation into Hermetics".

is there a rising number of people joining the occult?
Q. I heard somewhere that more and more people, especially youth, are joining the occult and doing drugs as a part of rituals. Is this true or does the occult exist at all today aside from a small minority?
Asked by mystery - Mon Jul 19 22:48:29 2010 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Yes, more and more people are breaking free of the religious dogma of Judeo-Christian beliefs and finding more interest in the Occult. I suspect this is because certain religions do not provide all the answers to certain questions. That's why I drifted away from Christianity, toward more occult studies. Christianity no longer cut it for me. I do not do drugs as part of rituals, and I do not know anyone else who does. (Unless you count drinking wine in honor of the memory of the dead at a Day of the Dead ritual. I've done that.) The people in the circles I run in would never encourage young people to do drugs. People seem to define 'the occult' as something evil. It is not. Occult simply refers to the unknown.

Is the "left-hand path" always associated with the occult and Satanism?
Q. I like the values of the left-hand path. However, every time I look it up, it's always associated with the occult or Satanism whether it's LaVeyan or theistic. Is it only associated with these things?
Asked by Spiral - Thu Oct 9 18:53:13 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Not as far as I'm concerned. I'm a Pagan and I incorporate some elements that some would see as left-hand path into my own spirituality. Most Pagans these days are hung up on the whole "harm none" thing, too blind to realize that being a Pagan is about balance, and sometimes we must restore the balance to our lives. Those who condemn others for not adhering to "harm none" are every bit as narrow-minded as the Christians who tell everyone they are going to hell. Perhaps a little research as to the origin and the actual age of this tenet would prove that this is certainly not an "ancient" Pagan belief.

Is there any significance of drawing a door with chalk like in Beetlejuice tied to the Occult or supernatural?
Q. Like, would anything supernatural occur if you drew the door and knocked three times, and is it tied into the Occult, or Wiccan beliefs?
Asked by crelos_velkar - Sat Jan 26 12:10:40 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Not necessarily with chalk. Wiccan covens often use an Athame to open or close the circle that surrounds them during ritual. Understand it is a visualized door and doesn't actually exist, but the door is there to keep evil or bad Karma out of the proceedings.

A. Try joining an existing local Ghost Hunting Club. This way you can learn the ropes, so to speak, about where to find the spirits and how best to get good photos and voice recordings. Otherwise you will have work hard and give up various things to become a medium, since you are not one naturally (i.e. born with the gift). Finding a club is only an email away. L8r

A. I believe any kind of energy can linger, positive or negative. First, decide if you love the house so much that you can live there knowing what has happened there. Then, make sure all of this guy's occult "stuff" is gone from the premises (including in the yard - do you think he buried things? You'd also hate to have a pet or a child find any of it.). Then have the house blessed by a pastor/priest, depending on what you believe. Some people believe burning sage around the house and the grounds gets rid of negative energy. Can dabbling with the Occult trigger off an underlying mental illness?
Q. Or is this preposterous thought?
Asked by Stargazer - Sat Aug 7 09:48:23 2010 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. 93, In a sense, yes. Cognitive dissonance is a very possible result of misuse of any mental or spiritual exercise, and the stress can cause some issues in life. I wouldn't say an "Underlying," illness comes out, so much as one can create new obsessions and fail to see the big picture. Also, the "Fantastical," aspects, without moderation can cause one to blur the line between reality and fantasy much like a few people experience with video games. Of course, in my experience, the best safe guard is to do what the books suggest, be calm as often as possible, resolve your own issues before getting deep in, practice some form of servience [IE: Do things for people without reward], and form a "Magical identity." 93 93/93

A. 93, In a sense, yes. Cognitive dissonance is a very possible result of misuse of any mental or spiritual exercise, and the stress can cause some issues in life.
